The traditional forging process of supporting wheel forgings is: upsetting and flattening with air hammer, and finally forging on friction press (some varieties need to be punched twice). The obtained forging blank has low precision and poor surface quality. Therefore, the inner and outer surfaces of the wheel body forgings need to be left with large machining allowance, which will be cut off in the subsequent processing. The material utilization rate is low, and the turning time is large, which does not meet the current industrial development requirements of energy conservation, consumption reduction and sustainable development.
