For the rig operator, the track off chain is a common problem. For the drilling rig, it is inevitable that the chain breaks off occasionally, because the working environment is relatively poor, and the crawler entering the soil or the stones will cause the chain to break off.
If the drilling rig is often out of chain, it is necessary to find out the cause, because it is easy to cause accidents.
So what are the reasons for the rig off chain?
Today, let’s talk about the common causes of off chain.
In fact, there are many reasons for the rig to fall off the chain. In addition to the impurities such as soil entering the crawler or stones, there are also faults in the traveling gear ring, sprocket, chain protector and other places that can cause the rig to fall off the chain. In addition, improper operation will also lead to the rig off chain.
1. Failure of tensioning cylinder leads to chain disconnection. At this time, check whether the tensioning cylinder forgets to grease and whether there is oil leakage in the tensioning cylinder.
2. Broken chain caused by serious track wear. If it is used for a long time, the track must be worn from time to time, and the wear of the chain reinforcement, chain barrel and other components on the track will also lead to the track falling off the chain.
3. Chain breaking due to wear of chain protector. At present, almost all drilling rigs have chain guards on their tracks, and chain guards play a very important role in preventing chain falling off, so it is also important to check whether the chain guards are worn.
4. Off chain caused by wear of drive motor ring gear. As for the drive motor gear ring, if it is seriously worn, we need to replace it, which is also an important reason for the drill off chain.
5. Off chain caused by damage of carrier sprocket. In general, oil leakage from the oil seal of the carrier roller will cause serious wear of the carrier roller, which will lead to the derailment of the track.
6. Off chain caused by damaged idler. When checking the idler, check whether the screws on the idler are missing or broken. Check whether the groove of the idler is deformed.
How to avoid track chain derailment?
1. When walking on the construction site, please try to place the walking motor behind the walking to reduce the extrusion of the carrier sprocket.
2. The continuous running time of the machine shall not exceed 2 hours, and the walking time on the construction site shall be reduced as far as possible. If necessary, it is recommended to walk after a short stopover.
3. When walking, avoid convex hard objects to avoid stress concentration on the rail chain.
4. Confirm the tightness of the track, adjust the track to a tight point in soft places such as soil, and adjust the track to a loose point when walking on stones. It is not good if the track is too loose or too tight. Too loose will lead to easy derailment of the track, and too tight will lead to rapid wear of the chain sleeve.
5. Always check whether there is any foreign matter such as stones in the track, and if so, it needs to be cleaned.
6. When working on a muddy construction site, it is necessary to frequently idle to remove the soil deposited in the track.
7. Regularly check the rail guard and the rail guard welded under the guide wheel.
